To be fair, I guess Tamil has done a good job and put lots of effort to make CandidATS succeeded from original Opencats and able to let user use without much issue. I was one of the user as well switch from opencats to CandidATS because I found Tamil is very helpful and committed to this project.
However having say that, Tamil could be busy and focus with something else right now which a lot of issues raised unattended as you can see the forum is rather inactive. I failed to upgrade version from v1.3.2 to V2 with bugs and now I have no choice to use the old version to continue my production.
Don’t misunderstood here, I am neither complaining nor blaming the support, having one of the great ATS in market without much cost incurred, I am glad to have a good start with CandidATS but I don’t plan to move on if it is too headache and costly to upgrade. The developer need fund to survive and continue with the project which also justifiable.
Thanks again Tamil for the great work but I am definitely opt and open for other alternative in future, meanwhile stick back with current production.

Previously we encountered the 4 tabs missing after migration from 1.3.2 to Ver. 2.0. We have followed your advice to uninstall CandidATS in new VPS and remove auieoLog.log if exist and migrate again. This procedure has overcome the tabs issue.
After that, we tried add on customize extra field – Field name: Job opening, Field Type: Date at job orders. Error No. 1 (the detail in previous post) shown. But somehow the extra field created despite the error no. 1 when we checked the job orders. When sorting (ascending/descending) the customize extra field – Date opening, the Error No. 2 (the detail in previous post) shown.
what possibilities that trigger this, please enlighten.
p/s: in old version, the extra customize field -date opening was there, but somehow we had accidentally deleted and problem faced when recreated the field

We are changing from an old VPS to a new VPS. Here are the migration steps:
gpasswd -a www sudo
~~~~ login as www ~~~~
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install ntp
sudo apt-get install apache2
sudo apt-get install mysql-server php5-mysql
sudo apt-get install php5 libapache2-mod-php5 php5-mcrypt
sudo vi /etc/apache2/mods-enabled/dir.conf, move index.php in front
sudo cp 000-default.conf localhost.conf
sudo vi localhost.conf, -> set DocumentRoot as /var/www/html/cats
sudo a2ensite localhost.conf
sudo a2dissite 000-default.conf
sudo service apache2 restart
sudo apt-get install php5-gd
unzip candidATS… to /var/www/html/cats
Install Antiword, PdfToText, html2text, UnRTF
mysqldump -ucats -pxxx cats > ~/cats-backup.sql
rsync -av ~/cats-backup.sql NEW_VPS:~/
rsync -av . www@NEW_VPS:/var/www/html/cats/attachments
Back to NEW_VPS
sudo chown -R www-data:www-data cats
sudo chmod 770 attachments/
sudo vi index.php
@ini_set(‘memory_limit’, ‘256M’); //’64M’);
mysql -uxxx -pxxx
CREATE DATABASE cats;
GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON cats.* TO ‘www’@’localhost’ IDENTIFIED BY ‘xxx’;
sudo vi config.php, set
db user: www
db pass: xxx
mysql -uwww -pxxx cats < ~/cats-backup.sql
Browse to http://NEW_VPS, click Install Wizard
Browse to http://NEW_VPS/migrateextrafield.php
mysql -uwww -pxxx cats < extrafield.sql
The tabs did not appear, followed the advice in https://auieo.com/candidats/docs/after-installation, and tabs still did not appear.

Yes. The migration is completed with no error. We did a fresh new installation and enable the setting, the tabs appeared but not the migration version. Do you have any idea how to fix it ? I would rather copy the site settings from new installation to the upgraded / migration ones ?

Thanks for your reply. The tabs just did not appear after we follow the steps that you published in after installation doc. What we did so far was enable the administration -manage profile setting from “no” to “yes” for all 4 tabs and move the administrator role to the right bar in manage role setting. What was missing ? Please enlighten.
p/s: we have migrated from our ver 1.3.2 to 2.0

I am facing the same issue as gebremariam and also went through the link that you provided. After I have done the setting, the tabs still not appear. Kindly advise further.
Things have been done
1)admin, setting, manage profile, admin, enable all fields – Yes. Soucer and DTP remain unchanged.
2)manage role – click the green button, administrator point to right bar.
What has been missing so far? your prompt response is much appreciated.
