We are a family: Kathy and Ron Gray, Miranda and Scott Gray-Burlingame. We lived in the Twin Cities for many years and then discovered the beauty of Southeastern Minnesota and the scenic Mississippi River Valley. We are here because we believe there is still a place in our community, our economy, and our society for a family-owned and operated business where people do what they love and love what they do.
Toys, the magical reaction that toys create and the world of imagination that toys promote, are at the centre of all that we do. We are trusted that our toys work as expected, are safe for use and will bring enjoyment to children all year round, year after year. It sounds easy but in reality we put a lot of thought and hard work into getting it right.
The most famous teddy bear manufacturer in the world is Steiff, which was established in 1880 in Germany by the remarkable Margarete Steiff, who created the now world-famous brand despite a serious disability due to childhood polio. Alongside the museum is a large shop selling the complete range of Steiff animals, from a classic teddy bear to a giant giraffe. For bear lovers keen on a bargain there is also a factory outlet just outside the museum which sells discounted Steiff toys.
